A quality waterproof jacket should have a 3-layer fabric. But if you prefer a lightweight jacket then you can go for a 2.5 layer. The hood should have a good shaping, neat volume and side adjustments, useful peak, allow peripheral vision, no loose cords, and should allow good head movement. x
You definitely will prefer a narrow seam taping as this will make you more comfortable. Also, check the pockets, they should be easily accessible.
