Most hillwalkers will agree that it is important to have an easily accessible backpack with all their necessities at an easy reach. Having to scatter the entire contents of your bag in search of one item can be truly frustrating. Columbia explorer is one among many gear bags in the market.

This particular brand has an efficient design. It has two equal main compartments. There is one zipped pocket at the front, which allows you to put in the things you need handy so you don’t have to spend a lot of time looking for them.

This pocket is very spacious and should contain all your essentials. The bag is also water-resistant and guarantees to keep your stuff safe if it rains. However, you might want to take a bag cover in case of a heavy downpour.

Although Columbia explorer is only 20L, it is simple and spacious. We were satisfied to see that our contents were still well organized even after rummaging it constantly. It has a sternum strap with a rescue whistle that is loud, handy, and reduces your luggage.

Our 3L hydration containers could comfortably stay in the bag and at easy reach. This is especially helpful in summer.
